North Korea 0 Cote d'Ivoire 3 (25th June, 2010)

Cote d’Ivoire needed about eight goals and for Brazil to beat Portugal to go through to the last 16. They played like they could get the goals throughout the game. They had 28 shots on goal and an amazing amount of possession. They scored their first goal after 14 minutes – a clever shot from the edge of the area into the bottom corner. The second came 6 minutes later. Didier Drogba smashed a volley against the bar, and Romaric headed the rebound into an empty goal. It really looked like Cote d-Ivoire were in the mood to get double figures. They attacked non-stop for the rest of the half but went in at half-time just 2-0 up. Normal service resumed after the break but wave after wave of Ivorian attacks came to nothing. The Koreans had five in defense. A third goal did come in the 82nd minute from Saloman Kalou.
