Google is playing catch-up to Apple and Samsung in the [relay / race] to be market leader in wearable health software. The [techie / tech] giant is working on a device called Google Fit to [rival / rivalry] Apple's HealthKit and Samsung's Galaxy Gear 2 and the Galaxy Gear Fit. [Sources / Sauces] say the company is working overtime to launch its product [so / as] it is not left behind. Google is [hoping / wishing] to be the first company to provide a device using the Android [operating / operations] system. This is Google's second [fray / foray] into this market. The first product was called Google Health, which did not gain [traction / friction] with consumers as it did not offer the kind of information fitness enthusiasts and health [buffers / buffs] were after.

An industry [outsider / insider] revealed what Google Fit might look like. They said it would be a wearable device that [measures / measurements] bio-rhythmic data [like / link] the number of steps someone walks or runs, or heart rate. This information will be [linked / likened] with Google’s cloud-based services. The company is trying to keep [farther / further] details of the final product under [wraps / warps] . The TechCrunch website wrote: "From what we're hearing, Google Fit will track [all / every] sorts of health data, such as weight, heart rate, [run / ran] times, body-building stats and more." It added: "End users will be able to [synth / sync] their Google Fit profiles to their Google IDs, which will make their data [potable / portable] no matter what app or device they’re using."
