READING:

One of the world's best-selling video games has increased its list of options to attract more women players. The game is the latest in EA Sports' incredibly popular FIFA series and is called FIFA 16. It will be on sale later this month. Game players will be able to choose women's teams for the very first time. The new game has 12 of the top international women's teams. They can only play against other women's teams, so there will be no women against men games. A demo version of the game was made available from September 8th. Game players who tested FIFA 16 said the games with women's teams were played at a faster pace than games with men's teams.

The vice president of EA Sports said he was excited about the introduction of women's teams. He said it was one of the most important changes in the 22-year history of the video game. He said: "Bringing some of the best women's players and teams in the world to our franchise is a massive event for EA Sports, and we are equally excited about bringing millions of fans a new way to play." Alex Morgan, who plays for the U.S. national women’s team, spoke of her excitement at being one of the players in the FIFA 16 game. She said: “It is such an honour for…our team to be included in FIFA 16. I always wondered what it would be like to see our team in the game and it is very cool to know that it is now a reality.”
